In the days of the lost way
Unrighteousness flowed through their minds
Like the water in its stream
Cut only by the charred pine
In the days of the lost way
The children who’s eyes cried lost their gleam
In the days of the lost way
No man could escape the corruption of soul
Even his own mind had become slave to the fiend
In the days of the lost way
The sheep stretched and cried for the days of old
To be free and praise without societal toll
In the days of the lost way
The shepherd knew no grave
Trumpets called, sirens blew
Nothing stood in the way of the brave few
In the days of the lost way
This people perished for lack of good will
Never to enter the gates of new flower
These are a people made of sin built to cower
In the days of the lost way the faithful pray
For God’s mercy to come raining down like a shower
Oh what a day, Oh Glorious Day
The sin has been washed away
