I write this poem about my dreadlocks, many people don’t understand the connection I have with my hair. To me my hair is rooted in two major areas. To start, I connect my hair to God and the Bible first, in the book of numbers there is a clear message stating that we shouldn’t let a razor touch our flesh. The next big area is outside of the realm of religion. Social justice is the second reason, I will continue to wear grow my dreadlocks till I see that there is equity and equality across the world.
