You said you would be there

But now my mind is trapped in a snare

You said you’d talk to me when I leave

Yet the thought of me you couldn’t conceive

I thought you were really mine

The time we spent together lost in time

All I can do now is write about our love into poetic rhyme

You lied to me and really tried my heart

I thought our friendship would never depart
